September 10 Free Agent Moves
Well, I have to admit I was expecting more activity this week, but here's what I got:
Brian waives David Dellucci and Kuis Matos and signs Casey Blake for $1 and Corey Patterson for $3.
Mike waives Keith Foulke, Zack Greinke and Jose Vidro and signs Francisco Liriano for $2, Brandon McCarthy for $3 nd Mark Ellis for $1.
Heslingas fill two open bench spots by signing Emil Brown for $1 and Matt Cain for $4.
That's it. For the balance of the season, all players added to rosters, either via trade or free agency, CANNOT be protected in 2006.
